Small family-run winery established in San Vicente de la Sonsierra more than one hundred years ago, in 1870. Bodegas Teodoro Ruiz Monge makes wine on site, apart from the wine ageing process, using the traditional carbonic maceration technique. Teodoro Ruiz Monge was one of the first wine growers from La Rioja to produce and sell wines with his own labels in the past century. His son José Luis, aka Itu, is launching a new range of artisan wines made of grapes from carefully classified plots and varieties.
